This website showcases a thematic teaching unit about common childhood seizure disorders. After completing the particular unit, required according to a child's diagnosis, the patient, parents, caregivers, teachers, administrators, and supportive school staff will understand the implication of childhood seizure disorders on the life of the child in their care. Furthermore, the learners will be able to identify characteristics of seizure disorders such as: type, basic pathophysiology of, safety for, first aid for, and medication administration for these children as needed. The types of seizure education frequently taught and related caregivers need to know include lessons about: Generalized Tonic-clonic Seizures, Partial Complex Seizures, Febrile Seizures, Infantile Spasms, ACTH use for Infantile Spasms, and DIASTAT administration.
